New Gallery Representative

The Wired Bean
IT'S BEEN MANY YEARS since my work has been available through anything but "galleries". I have exhibited in restaurants, small malls and the like in the past. About a month ago, one of my friends (also one of my collectors), purchased a high-end coffee shop in Lexington, SC, just outside of Columbia. It is part of a great, huge old mill that has and continues to be renovated with specialty stores of every kind.
My friend invited me to fill the shop with paintings to provide an inviting, warm look and be my sole gallery representative in South Carolina. Now eighteen paintings adorn the walls of this cozy restaurant that rivals anyone "coffee-wise". The current painting theme is French and American gardens.
If you live or travel through Lexington, please stop by the The Wired Bean at 711 East Main Street, Suite R, Lexington, SC 29072, 803.957.7029 or
email Owner, Jay Schabacker or store Manager, Cheryl anytime.
We're planning a show for late Fall or for early next year and I will paint on the property during the opening. I'll let you all know when a final date is set.
Your work looks wonderful hanging in the cafe Diane! You know, sometimes I think your clients will enjoy seeing how the paintings settle themselves into the home and business environment. So many times I hear that folks say they are looking for a painting to match the colors in their house when what they need is a painting that will complete the message of the room. Mind you, I know that some colors might clash, but your work is so peaceful and inspirational and universal, I can imagine any place they would not be at home.
I always love looking at your paintings and am proud to be an owner of one. :)
Hi Phyllis,
Thanks so much for leaving a comment and feedback about the coffee shop. The paintings REALLY did make the place more "homey" and will reach folks who otherwise would never go to an actual gallery. You never know, a gallery owner may come in for coffee someday! I have a feeling whoever hung a theme of paintings would achieve the same result...a more rich, inviting look.
Did you ever receive the cards from Vistaprint for SLAC? I had not heard anything so assumed you got them. If you did not please let me know. And if you did and there were any problems let me know as well so I can fix for future printings with other member paintings/announcements.
Hugs,
Diane
