TODAY WAS THE FIRST DAY of the High Springs Paint Out. It was overcast all day especially when under a canopy of trees at a beautiful spring. I chose to focus on the bottom of one tree as the woods were full of downed trees. A glint of sun in the afternoon made for a beautiful composition of this forest-floor tree. The play on words as the title made it perfect for me.We'll see if the weather is more cooperative tomorrow. The Santa Fe River is the focus.
