New Painting: Pony & Peaches

WHILE ON VACATION to paint the Smokey Mountains, the weather was not conducive to painting at all, even though I love painting in the rain and unique weather conditions. Although tough to paint last week, I took along a few photos that have shaped the region where I live. This piece is especially significant to me...the peach orchard has recently been leveled to build a housing development (known here as a PUD: "Planned Unit Development")
I am excited to have had been given permission by the owners of that land several years ago to shoot photos of this orchard. They were cautious and reluctant, as most folks are when approached by a stranger. Nevertheless, I was able to shoot photos rapidly rather than paint on location in this situation. I was just thankful to capture images of the land, home and pony all at the same time. This painting is a composite of what I came away with from the location.
Lovely paintings. My husband is a painter, so I plan to share it with him. I found you by your comments on the K2 template page. I love this template but was wondering... are you using the classic template to make it work or have you upgraded to Blogger 2.0?
Dear Jennifer,
Thanks so much for your kind response to the "pony" painting. Hope your husband enjoys it as well.
I too, love this template. I have not upgraded to 2.0 as I have so many changes made to the original...until after December I can then take the time to hammer away at any issues that may come up.
Meanwhile, I'd contact the originators, Gecko & Fly (link below) and ask them if there are any known problems if you load the template, upgrade to 2.0 then make any customizations. Or, perhaps they have already made a 2.0 version. Lastly, it may not even be an problem, but I'd check with them in any event.
All the Best!
