I am on the first leg of my month-long painting journey. Currently painting in Callaway Gardens, GA, then stopping for a week in Apalachicola/St. George's Island, FL, then on to Epcot to paint as a part of their Spring Garden Festival with 13 other invited plein-air painters on April 20-22.

I will be posting pictures as I travel so you can see what I am working on. The first two pics here are of me working on two paintings at Callaway. I am creating a series of ten soft pastel paintings to capture the glowing azaleas!! Also, doing larger acrylic and pastel works during my twelve-day stay here.

4 New Workshop Offerings for 2007:

Yates Mill in Raleigh, NC, is the site for my 4 new workshops! A beautiful old, wonderfully preserved mill, pond and park setting - host to these latest workshop offerings. One workshop is dedicated to Soft Pastel en plein air, and three comprehensive plein-air workshops for beginners - advanced painters in oil, acrylic and pastel. We will paint at the park as well as the famous Sarah Duke Gardens, Jordan Lake, Historic Downtown Apex and/or other great locations. And if it rains, we have a brand new studio to paint in next to the mill, which is also our daily meeting place.
