IMAGINE BRINGING INVITED TO PAINT at a beautiful lake at some of the country's most beautiful homes. During the time I participated in the 20th year celebration of The Little Gallery on Smith Mountain Lake, where I have been represented for over 17 years, I did just that. Thanks to a colleague who knew some great places to work en plein air, I had the opportunity to view and paint private estates for two days. More pieces are forthcoming but I wanted to post this one right away. Many of these homes have little beaches on their properties along the lake. I have been to some but this one was a charmer.
